METRO
BUS AND BUS TURISTIC
It is the easiest way of getting around and reaches most places you are likely to visit, including the airport. The metro is supplemented by a few train lines. Metro has five lines, and is efficient and easy to use. At interchange stations, you just need to work out which line and which direction you want. The metro runs from Monday to Thursday (plus Sundays and holidays) from 5:00 am to 24:00 pm; Friday, Saturday and the day before public holidays from 5:00 am to 2:00 am.
Buses run from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. Many routes pass through Plaça de Catalunya and/or Plaça de la Universitat. After 11:00 pm night buses run until 3:00 to 5:00 am. Bus turistic service covers two circuits linking virtually all the major tourist sights.
Taxis cost about €1,5 flagfall plus meter charges. A green light on the roof means the taxi is free.
